1. Who is responsible
MBAGA FOODLIFE LTD, Industrial Area, Bumbogo, Gasabo, Kigali City, Rwanda, is responsible for personal information handled through this website. Privacy questions may be sent to support@mbagafoodlife.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may receive your name, contact details, company and delivery information, account details, order and quotation records, support messages and attachments, newsletter consent, job-application information, technical security logs, and correspondence with our team.
With your optional consent, we also collect aggregate public-page views, visits, broad traffic sources and device types to improve the website. Analytics excludes account and private tracking pages and does not retain IP addresses, full browser details, query strings or account identifiers. This is separate from technical security logs maintained by our web host.
For basic site administration, we also keep a daily total of successful public-page requests, including when optional analytics is rejected. This counter contains only a date and total, with no stored visitor identity, IP, page path, device or location. It uses no additional cookie and is retained for 90 days. It does not provide a count of unique people.
3. Why we use it
- To provide accounts, product information, orders, quotations, invoices, delivery updates, and customer support.
- To respond to business, supplier, distribution, employment, and general enquiries.
- To keep financial, contractual, security, consent, and operational records.
- To send newsletters only after the required confirmation and until you unsubscribe.
- To protect the website, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and comply with applicable obligations.
4. Basis for processing
We use information where it is necessary to take requested steps or perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or act on your consent. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it for future processing.
5. Sharing and service providers
Information is available only to authorised personnel and service providers that need it for hosting, email, document generation, delivery, professional advice, payment reconciliation, or other requested operations. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect people, rights, or systems.
6. Retention
We keep records only as long as needed for the purpose collected, applicable accounting or legal requirements, dispute handling, security, and documented business needs. Unsuccessful recruitment information is removed or anonymised according to the recruitment retention period unless you agree to a longer talent-pool period.
Visitor analytics is hosted with our website and retained as daily aggregate counts for 90 days. Consent choices expire after 180 days; the visit cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. You may withdraw optional analytics consent through Cookie settings without affecting access to the website.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, or object to certain uses. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where an overriding legal requirement applies.
8. Security and international handling
We use access controls, validation, rate limits, private file storage, encryption in transit, and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet system can guarantee absolute security. If a provider processes information outside Rwanda, we assess the service and use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards where required.

After you allow optional analytics, we use your connection IP briefly to estimate the country with a database held on our server. The IP is not stored in analytics or sent to a lookup service. Only daily country totals are retained for 90 days. Estimates can be inaccurate, particularly with VPNs or mobile networks. We do not collect city, province or precise location. Rejecting optional analytics prevents this lookup.
